Guides Across America is a collaborative effort between Sawyer Oars, the Guide Relief Program (GRP), and the Fly Fishing Film Tour, aimed at providing support to water-based guides across the country. We understand that being a guide is not just a profession, it's a way of life, and it comes with its own unique set of challenges. Our goal is to create a nationwide movement that stands as a pillar of support for guides, both on and off the water.
At Guides Across America, we are fueled by a passion for adventure, the great outdoors, and the incredible guides who lead us through it. We are a tight-knit community of guides and supporters, dedicated to uplifting guides and ensuring they have the resources to overcome any storm. We believe that a strong community is essential to the success and well-being of guides, and we are committed to being that community for them.
Guide Relief Program
The Guide Relief Program is an IRS-designated nonprofit organization that offers financial support to guides in crisis by awarding small grants. This support can help alleviate some of the financial burdens that guides may face during difficult times. Additionally, the GRP provides access to two months of free and confidential mental health services.
We recognize that the mental health of guides is just as important as their physical health, and we want to ensure that they have the necessary resources to navigate their personal lives and their profession.
