Guides Across America is a collaborative effort between the Guide Relief Program (GRP), Sawyer Paddles and Oars, and the Fly Fishing Film Tour, aimed at providing support to water-based guides across the country. We understand that being a guide is not just a profession, it's a way of life, and it comes with its own unique set of challenges. One of our goals is to create a nationwide movement that stands as a pillar of support for guides, both on and off the water. The Guide Relief Program is an IRS-designated nonprofit organization that offers financial support to guides in crisis by awarding small grants. This support can help alleviate some of the financial burdens that guides may face during difficult times. Additionally, the GRP provides access to two months of free and confidential mental health services.
We recognize that the mental health of guides is just as important as their physical health, and we want to ensure that they have the necessary resources to navigate their personal lives and their profession.
